Despedida....

Dear fans of our weblog..

This is almost the end. Today we will set our sails back to Europe... but we can not leave without telling you our final stories..
Last week, before we returned to Belo Horizonte, we stayed at Joao Pessoa, the most Eastly point of South America. Nanda´s friend Leticia lives there and we had a great time with her. We got to have dinner in a small marina area at the riverside where the sunset is beautiful and where musicians play the entire night. We also visited some canyon at the beach which was filled with beautiful colours.
After our visit to Joao Pessoa, we left to Recife. On our way we stopped at the colonial Olinda where you can still find some roots of the Dutch occupation 500 years ago. We just stayed for an hour, but next time we will definitely stay a day or so. The historic centre of Olinda still has a lot of colonial house and churches and it does remind us of Ouro Preto.
We continued to Recife to find a hotel and return our rental car. Our flight was at 02.00 H at night, so we needed the hotel to refresh and to rest.
Once back in Belo Horizonte, we visited one friend after the other and had loads of family coming over to visit us. Even cousin Luana came over from Rio to spend some days with us.
Last night we celebrated the early Christmas party with the entire family. We had some kind of secret Santa party; everybody bought 1 gift and through a lotery a person could choose a box with a gift. If you did not like your gift you could switch it with somebody else.. even if the other person did not want to...
Great fun again and of course (tradition in this family) loads of food again..
It was a great party to say goodbye to all our family and friends and all our adventures of the passed month.
We hope you all enjoyed our stories and our pictures. We enjoyed your comments anyway because it was nice to hear from all of you.
